NuNo Laptop/Notebook Review

Choosing a laptop to travel with can be a daunting ordeal. That's why we’ve listed resources, below, of some of the most respected Tech Magazines specializing in notebook computers: PC Magazine, Laptop Magazine and PC World Magazine.

Although there is rarely a clear consensus on a particular notebook model, we believe the current smart money buys are on the following (in order of screen size):

  • HP Mini 5102 (10" screen). This is the darling of the main magazine reviewers. Although very affordable, the screen size would be difficult to work with for expended periods of time.
  • Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 13 (13.3" screen). The screen size is about right for nomads. Not only does it look good (this is a new design direction for Lenovo--thank God), but it's light and fast.
  • Lenovo ThinkPad T400 (14.1" screen). Another powerful and dependable option by Lenovo.
  • HP DV4-1465dx (14.1" screen). Looks good, just the right size, plus it's hard to go wrong with HP.
  • MacBook Pro A1286 (15.4" screen). ) Though a bit on the big size, screen-wise, MacBook Pro machines have been highly rated since their arrival on the market.
